RESTAURANTS & BEACH CLUB BOOKINGS

With a local population of just over 4,000 and an annual number of visitors sitting at 6 million, Saint Tropez sees an astounding increase in its population during the high season. With these figures in mind, it is no surprise that the best accommodation, restaurants, beach clubs and amenities are reserved and fully booked at an unprecedented rate.

Having experienced over 20 years of Saint Tropez high seasons and witnessing first hand countless beach clubs and top restaurants which are fully booked before the season kicks off, St Tropez House is confident in advising all visitors to pre-book their favorite hot spots prior to their arrival in order to avoid disappointment. Here is everything you need to know about booking your favorite restaurants and beach clubs during the high season:

PRE-BOOK, PRE-BOOK, PRE-BOOK

If you are renting a luxury villa in Saint Tropez during the high season (July & August), it is more than likely that many of your favorite restaurants and beach clubs will be working at full capacity. There is no such thing as last minute miracles in Saint Tropez therefore St Tropez House recommends pre-booking at least 2 weeks to a month in advance. Once you have chosen your villa to rent in Saint Tropez, think of your must-visit spots and begin booking straight away. Every restaurant and beach club will be thankful you are planning ahead as there are countless people they must turn away who try to book last minute.

Important note when reserving at a beach club

Guests wishing to spend the day at a beach club in Saint Tropez will typically arrive at their chaise lounge on the beach around 10.30 (necessary to hold their place on the beach in many clubs). They will enjoy a few hours in the morning sun then make their way to the restaurant for lunch, which has also been reserved. Many beach clubs will make both the beach and restaurant reservations at the same time however others will have the restaurant separate from the beach and will transfer you to their beach staff to make another reservation.

How to Make a Reservation Quickly & Easily

Both English and French are commonly spoken in St Tropez therefore if you speak either there will be no language barrier. The key details you will be asked to provide are:
* First & Last name
* Number of guests in your party
* Are there children in your party? (later seatings include DJ sets and are not suitable for children)
* Date & Time of your reservation (they will ask you to choose a designated seating time)
* Telephone number (some establishments will ring you the day before your reservation to confirm your attendance)
* Credit card number (many establishments will request a credit card number in case of an unannounced no show. The average penalty is 150 EUR per guest in the reservation)
*Changes and cancellations can usually be made 24 hours in advance without penalty
It is important to note however that during the high season it is very difficult to get through via telephone as lines remain busy most of the day.
